MARC Crews of the Week Announced

For the second week in a row the Mid Atlantic Rowing Conference announces the Crew of the Week for both men and women. For the second week in a row on the women’s side, a crew from Bryn Mawr was voted crew of the week by the conference coaches. This week it was the Bryn Mawr Varsity 8 for a strong performance at the Stockton Brigantine Boat Race. Bryn Mawr’s Varsity 8 out dualed all conference opponents they faced during the day, and tied West Point for overall points at the regatta to secure the Stan Bergman Trophy. This weekend Bryn Mawr will be back in action at the Knecht Cup Regatta in New Jersey and will face off against MARC rivals Catholic University and Stockton University in the Women’s Division III event.

For the men’s crew of the week, MARC coaches selected the Bucknell 2nd Varsity 8 in the second week of the season. Bucknell’s 2nd Varsity 8 has gotten off to a strong start this spring. Last weekend the Bucknell 2V raced to an open water win over the Hobart College 2V at the Cayuga Duals. This follows other open water victories this spring over the Michigan 2V and Michigan Freshman 8. Bucknell will also be at the Knecht Cup this weekend where they will compete against MARC rivals Adrian College and Catholic University in the Varsity 8, and Villanova in the Club 8. Stockton and Catholic will also square off in the DII/DIII Varsity 8 event at the Knecht Cup this weekend.
