Mid Atlantic Rowing Conference Announces Women's All Conference First and Second Teams

It was an exciting weekend of racing in Mercer, NJ with St. Mary’s winning the 1v and 2v 8+s racing and the team trophy. Each MARC team awarded athletes 1st or 2nd All Conference Teams, depending on their team points standing.

Bucknell Men Win 2025 MARC Championships, Marietta College Men Clinch DIII IRA Bid

Bucknell earned the men’s  team points trophy at the 2025 MARC Championships this Sunday on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, NJ.  Bucknell earned 78 points, winning  gold in the Men’s Varsity 8+, and Men’s Second Varsity 8+ events, and Silver in the Men’s Varsity 4+. Bucknell will compete in the ACRA Championship May 16-18 in Oak Ridge, TN. Lehigh finished second with a total of 69 points earned. Lehigh took the gold in the Men’s Varsity 4+ Final with a time of 7:10.336. In the Men’s Varsity 8+ Grand Final, Lehigh finished 3rd (6:14.23), Lehigh also finished 3rd in the Men’s 2nd Varsity 8+ Final (6:27.25), 


Marietta College Men earned 66 points by taking silver in the Men’s 2nd Varsity 8+ final 6:27.07), 3rd in the Men’s Varsity 4+ Final (7:26.33), and 4th in the Men’s Varsity 8+ Grand Final (6:19.81).  Marietta’s 3rd place team finish won them the bid to the IRA DIII Men’s National Championships. The IRA (Intercollegiate Rowing Association) National Championship Regatta will be held on the Cooper River in Camden, NJ, from May 30th to June 1st, 2025


Other notable finishes include George Washington, taking silver in the Men’s Varsity 8+ Grand Final with a time of 6:14.06, earning them 4th place in team points (65)

St. Mary’s College Of Maryland Women Win 2025 MARC Championships

St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women clinched the 2025 MARC Championship on Sunday at Mercer Lake in West Windsor Twp, NJ. The Seahawks won both the Varsity 8+ race and Second Varsity 8+ Race to win the top points for the Women’s Championship. By winning MARCs, St. Mary’s has punched their ticket to the NCAA DIII Women’s National Championship, taking place May 30-31. The Seahawks will return to Lake Mercer at the end of May to race against the top DIII Women’s Crews across the country. 


St. Mary earned 37 Points for their wins in both the Women’s Varsity 8+ (7:17.95) and Second Varsity 8+ (7:46.53) events, with Bryn Mawr finishing second with 32 points for their 2nd place finishes in the Women’s Varsity 8+(7:26.23)  and Women’s Second Varsity 8+ (7:57.30). 

Catholic finished 3rd with 23 points for their 3rd place finish in the Women’s Varsity 8+ (7:30.16). In fourth place, Washington College earned 22 points for their 4th place finish in the Women’s Varsity 8+(7:37.98)  and Women’s 2nd Varsity 8+ (8:27.87). Stockton earned 5th place with 21 points, medaling 3rd in the Second Varsity 8+ (8:06.34), and 5th in the Varsity 8+ (7:40.82). F&M earned 14 points and MSOE earned 11 points, finishing 6th (7:51.37) and 7th (7:54.05) respectively for their finishes in the Women’s Varsity 8+ Grand Final. 


In the Women’s Varsity 4+ Final, Marietta College took the gold with a time of 9:00.64. Catholic finished 2nd with a time of 9:14.16. St. Mary took the bronze with a time of 9:30.58. Franklin and Marshall finished 4th with a time of 9:39.04.

Week 2 Crews of the Week: Catholic University Women and Bucknell Men

Following top finishes at the Battle at Brigantine and Susquehanna Duels, the Catholic Women’s 1v and Bucknell Men’s 1V were voted the Crews of the Week for week 2 of MARC spring racing.

At the Battle at Brigantine, the Catholic Women’s 1V beat DII competition Jefferson by .43 seconds. Later in the day, Catholic went on to win the top overall time for Women’s Varsity Crews, finishing ahead of Jefferson, and MARC conference members Washington College and Stockton.

At the Susquehanna Duels, Bucknell Men’s Varsity 8 won over Michigan’s Varsity crew by 8 seconds. They went on to finish second behind Rutgers by 3 seconds for another round of PM racing.

MARC Crews opened their spring season this past weekend at the Washington College Invitational Regatta on March 22. At the event, two conference teams, St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women and George Washington University Men excelled in their performance in the 1v8+, winning them the selection of Crews of the Week!
